ArtSlant, in cooperation with ArtPadSF, announces ArtSlant Afterparty && <ERROR 415> Award Exhibition. Juried by renowned new media artists and curators Anthony Antonellis, Nick Briz, Manuel Fernández and Daniel Rehn and Sarah Caluag (me+Sarah), the Afterparty and Exhibition will take place Friday, May 17th at 9:06 PM following Andrew Benson’s site-specific projections in the courtyard of the Phoenix Hotel. The <ERROR 415> exhibition will be projected onto the wall adjacent to the Phoenix Hotel and viewable in virtual exhibition on ArtSlant.com following the screening. An Error 415 is the HTTP response status code for an unsupported media type; the award refers to new media practices which have yet to be fully supported by the art establishment, while also giving a nod to the tech-savvy Bay Area. The winner of the ArtSlant <ERROR 415> Award will be announced during the event, and will receive a cash prize of $415. ;)
Submissions to <ERROR 415> will open in April so keep an eye out!
